THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a simply beautiful walnut colored Bakelite Airline from 1948. I thought the Art Deco influence had ended by this period, but it is alive and well in the design of this radio. It is smooth and shiny without chips, cracks or stress lines. A real survivor and I bet it was carefully enjoyed all of its life. It sounds wonderful and picks up great on the standard AM broadcast band. It has been carefully hand polished and is gorgeous. The dial lens is new and the view of the golden colored dial is pleasing, especially in a dimly lit room. The electronics have been fully restored, awaiting to perform for you and put a big smile on your face! 12"W x 7"H x 6"D. |
