Philco made two versions of "The Flying Wedge;" one in wood in 1948 and the other like this one in polystyrene which was introduced in the early Fall of 1947. Personally I'm partial to this style; I see many of the wooden ones available, which are quite square and plain in design, while this one is quite curvy and retro. This "Flying Wedge" with its cream color front has become highly prized among serious collectors and considered a "must have" for their collections. The cabinet has been nicely shined the chassis has been electrically restored for your enjoyment. 11-1/2"W x 6-3/8"H x 6-1/2"D.
