Majestic 62A (1938)
(wood tube table radio)

Majestic 62A (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

What a gorgeous radio! Being from the late 1930's, it's quite obvious the Art Deco influenced Majestic's cabinet designer. Just look at the scalloped wood on the front and sides of this beauty and the wonderful black accents. So beautiful! I love everything about this radio, especially its dial. Though rectangular, the dial pointer moves from the top, not the bottom like most sets of this era. When you're tuning for a station, the movement reminds me of the speedometer in a 1930's car. It really takes you back! Its cabinet has been carefully refinished to match the original colors and the electronics have been restored. This cabinet is no lightweight, as it is solid wood, not veneer like most other radios. In addition to receiving the regular AM broadcast band, it also receives Short Wave. Get ready, you're going to love it! 14-3/4"W x 9-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.
