Trav-Ler A502 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Trav-Ler A502 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is such a wonderfully Art Deco influenced set. The dial is beautifully colored and intricate; with its reverse painted details, it absolutely blows you away when you see it in a darkened room. Just amazing colors! It is a very fine player, especially for a TRF (tuned radio frequency) of this era. As a collector for over 25 years, this is the first A502 I've ever seen. There just don't seem to be very many of this model that survived. Trav-Ler began producing radios in the early 1920s in Chicago IL and in the early 1950s also began producing televisions. They remained in business until 1965, when they no longer could remain competitive in a global influenced market. The cabinet has been restored, including the original white striped inserts in the sides, plus the chassis has been electrically restored. You're really going to enjoy this one! 12-1/4"W x 7-3/4"H x 6-1/2"D.
