THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Zenith created an Art Deco masterpiece with this cabinet design, making this radio one of the most admired and popular of 1930s Bakelite sets. This one isn't quite perfect -- two of the horizontal louvres are cracked (visible in top view), so it has been priced accordingly. The cracks are not at all obvious when the radio is displayed, so if you can tolerate the cracks, you get a bargain. Knobs and back are original; the dial cover is a nice clear replacement. The chassis works like new, having had all electrolytic and paper capacitors replaced, a cool-running diode-based ballast installed, and the power cord replaced. The radio has been carefully aligned for top performance. Lighted dial. 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 7"D. |
