THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Several manufacturers introduced very compact table radios in the late 1930s and early 40s. Silvertone used permeability tuning and an inverted chassis setup to squeeze a full five-tube superheterodyne circuit into this cute little package. It has great sensitivity and good sound. The Bakelite cabinet has been repainted in its original color. Knobs and dial are original; the back was missing and has been replaced. The chassis has had a thorough restoration, with all new capacitors, new resistors where needed, a strong set of tubes, and a full RF/IF alignment. A new polarized power cord with proper switch wiring has been installed for improved safety. The small red oval in the middle of the dial is a pilot light. Small and light, so shipping will be inexpensive. 8"W x 5-5/8"H x 5-1/4"D. |
