THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Sears introduced a line of Silvertone radios with beautiful gold dials in honor of their golden (50th) anniversary in 1936. The embossed gold dial is particularly striking when viewing in a darkened room. The diagonal grained walnut veneered cabinet is tasteful and attractive. The cabinet has been refinished; knobs, escutcheon, and grille cloth are original. The five-tube three-band chassis has been thoroughly restored and works like new, with a strong set of tubes, new capacitors throughout, new resistors where needed, and a full RF/IF alignment. A new vintage-style cloth power cord has been installed, with the original vintage plug preserved. A fuse has been added for improved safety. This radio has a tone control and lighted dial. Bluetooth available. 16"W x 10"H x 9-1/4"D. |
