Zenith H723Z2 AM/FM (1952)
(Bakelite tube table radio w/FM)

Zenith H723Z2 AM/FM (1952)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here's another Zenith AM-FM radio for those of you who love these! After a full electrical restoration, I've got this seven-tube radio dialed in for superb performance on both AM and FM, with top-notch sensitivity and sound quality. All electrolytic and paper capacitors have been replaced, and all six IF transformers have been rebuilt with new mica capacitors, so this radio will never have problems with deterioration of the IF mica wafers (a very common problem on these). The selenium rectifier has been replaced with a silicon diode, and a new polarized power cord has been installed, along with rewiring of the power switch circuitry to keep the otherwise "hot" chassis nice and safe. The radio has a strong set of tubes and has had a complete RF and IF alignment for both AM and FM (hence the good performance). Zenith's bass-boosting audio circuitry produces a very nice sound quality. The Bakelite cabinet is free of any cracks or chips, and has its original shine (not clear-coated like so many other Bakelite radios for sale). A few faint water spots are visible on the top with close inspection. The knobs, pointer, and back are all original. 13"W x 7-1/2"H x 7-1/2"D.
