THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This RCA AM-FM table radio has a beautiful mahogany cabinet with a classic 1950s brass bezel around the dial. The transparent dial ring is edge-lighted by dial lamps on the left and right, for a striking appearance under low lighting conditions. The nine-tube chassis has been fully restored, with all new capacitors, strong tubes, and rebuilt FM IF transformers. A full sweep generator FM alignment has been done, and reception is excellent on both AM and FM, with top notch sound quality. This radio has an 8" speaker, and unlike many similar sets, this one has a 6V6 output stage, with enough audio power to produce good bass without distortion. The original phono input on the back with its own input setting on the bandswitch provides a very convenient connection for an iPod, CD player, or phonograph. All parts original except the back, which is a reproduction. 17"W x 10-1/2"H x 9"D. |
