THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
A Zenith "Boomerang" type design that has been attributed to Zenith's great industrial designer Robert Davol Budlong. He must have had a dream or nightmare about "Darth Vader!" The model was introduced in 1942 just prior to our entry into WWII, and the suspension of all Zenith domestic radio production. It reappeared on dealer shelves in 1946 right after the end of the war. It's a six-tube superheterodyne chassis covering the AM band. It has been checked by a professional, and plays fine, picking up all my local stations, and distant stations at night. The case is in great cosmetic condition with no cracks, chips, repairs or other cosmetic issues. It has been professionally repainted in its original color. A perfect Retro Tronics back is on the case. This is a really nice example of this model Zenith. About 12"W x 8"H x 6"D.
