THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A beautiful 1940 completely restored Emerson five-tube radio. This case resembles many Ingraham cabinets made for Emerson. The radio is picking up all my local stations clearly after all out-of-spec resistors and capacitors were replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents, and a new power cord was added. The radio has a perfect FYLP replacement back in place. This model has a very Golden Age of Radio look to it. The stylish case has been professionally redone in a deep mirror piano glossy refinish. The wood case was carefully and painstakingly refinished with 6-8 layers of clear coat, then machine and hand polished to mirror piano finish and smoothness. The built in handle on top is original and functional, as well as the original knobs are on the radio. The dial light on the colorful Emerson dial really makes the radio stand out in any room. About 9"W x 7"H x 5"D. |
