THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Zenith 6-S-528 from 1941 is one of the last peacetime production runs before the beginning of WWII. This unit utilizes the same chassis as the model 6-S-527, but has rounded corners and sides which really give it a standout appearance. The walnut veneer is book matched, and in excellent condition. The radio has been restored inside and out. The case was piano finished in clear and toned lacquers. The chassis was completely checked by a pro, and necessary replacements were all done. The radio is playing clearly picking up all my local stations, and many more at night. The knobs and push buttons are original, and the back is a perfect replacement. The dial lamp really lights up the room. This beautiful Radio had the latest innovations for a Zenith table model radio including a wave magnet internal antenna and push button tuning. About 16"W x 9"H x 8"D. |
