THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Art Deco Airline was made for and sold in Montgomery Ward stores in 1937-1938. The black Bakelite case has beautiful ornate molding on the top. The case is in super nice condition without any cosmetic issues like breaks, cracks or chips, and is very hard to find in this condition as it’s a very heavy substantial piece of Bakelite. It has a super cool Tele-Dial tuning, and a good functioning green eye tube. The radio is playing clearly, picking up all my local stations. I will include an extended piece of antenna wire to facilitate picking up distant stations at night as well. The chassis is accessed by removing the original knobs and lifting the case off the chassis. They don't get any better than this in condition. About 11"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D. |
