THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Beautiful streamlined bullet shaped Art Deco Pre-War Admiral in absolute stunning ivory Plaskon. I can't find any cosmetic issues that are so common on these Plaskon sets, as this one was truly well cared for by its original owner. Everything is original to the radio except for the reproduction back. The chassis has been completely restored, and all tubes, capacitors and resistors were replaced as needed. The radio is playing nicely picking up all by local AM stations clearly, and many distant stations at night. The numbers before the 6M designate the cabinets available: 396 (Brown Walnut), 397 (Ivory Plaskon), and 398 (Beetle Plastic). This radio was manufactured by Continental Radio & Television for Admiral. The model number is imprinted on the bottom. This is a very hard radio to find in undamaged Plaskon. About 12"W x 7"H x 7"D. |
