THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The design of this Emerson 1947 radio has been attributed to the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy, who also designed the original Coca-Cola bottle. The model 511 was available in five colors. The red color on this 100% restored and professionally painted ivory Plaskon case is very striking, ideal for a perfect Christmas gift. The case is in mint condition. It has no repairs, cracks, chips, hairline cracks of other cosmetic issues. The plastic dial cover, which floats over the gold metal grille, is clear with no damage. The dial lamp is hidden in the small plastic piece at the top. The knobs are original. The radio has been gone over completely, and is playing well, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. About 10-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H x 6"D. |
