Crosley D-25-MN "Dashboard" (1953)
(plastic tube clock radio)

Crosley D-25-MN "Dashboard" (1953)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This Crosley D-25 "Dashboard" color radio with its automotive influenced styling is a retro icon from the 1950's, and is in nice condition. "MN" in the model stands for the maroon colored version. They were offered originally in six colors: white, grayish green, chartreuse, steelish blue, tan and maroon. The three maroon color coordinated clock knobs on this set are in place and the clock is working fine, keeping time. I have not tested the wake up feature or timed appliance outlet. I prefer to start my own coffee myself in the morning! The case does not have any major cosmetic issues like cracks, chips or hairline cracks, just a couple of paint chips. The dial escutcheons have a little wear. The radio has been recapped and is working and playing all my local AM stations clearly. The original back is present and the knobs are also original. The ad shown is for a 1951 radio, but is the totally same radio as the 1953 D-25 series sets. I will also include a copy of the original instructions that came with the radio. About 13"W x 7-1/2"H x 7"D.
