THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A great Philco Transitone Retro designed case from 1948, affectionately known to collectors as the "Flying Wedge" for obvious reasons. This polystyrene case is in great condition, no cracks or other major cosmetic issues, and still has its showroom shine. The chassis has been completely restored by a pro, and the radio is playing great, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. It has a perfect Retro-Tronics back in place. The knobs are original. It was introduced in late 1947 for the 1948 model year priced at $29.95. The contrasting ivory lattice grille really gives it nice eye appeal. It has a beautiful lit up dial. About 11"W x 6"H x 6-1/2"D. |
