THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This 1942 Zenith is one of the classic pre-War Zenith designs before the company switched over to military production. This set was designed by Robert Davol Budlong, Zenith's most prolific designer. This Budlong design is known to current generations as the "Darth Vader radio." An undamaged Bakelite case in perfect condition. No cracks, chips or hairline cracks, and no repairs. Nice contrasting peanut butter colored knobs give this set instant appeal. This six-tube chassis has been checked by a pro, and the set plays clearly picking up all my local AM stations during the day, and many distant stations at night with an internal loop antenna. It has dual dial lamps. The back is a brand new Retro-Tronics replacement. About 11"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
