THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Crosley "Coloradio" was part of a product line named to highlight the wide range of colors it was offered. This is a beautiful completely restored dark blue 1953 Retro Crosley radio with a design that was influenced by classic contemporary automotive styling. The radio is playing fine, picking up all my local AM stations clearly, and even distant stations late at night. The knobs are original, as well as the back and cord, and all are in excellent condition. These Crosley radios usually have badly tarnished metal trim pieces. The metal trim pieces on this set are in excellent condition for a radio over 65 years old. This is an excellent example of a radio that is an icon of the early 1950's, in a beautiful completely restored case. There were no cracks or cosmetic damage before restoration. It originally sold for $39.95. About 12"W x 7"H x 7"D.
