THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The beautiful maroon Styrene case on this Emerson radio was designed by the French-born American industrial designer Raymond Loewy, an established leading industrial designer of the 20th century. This particular design was only offered in either AM only or FM only. It was one of Emerson's early entries in FM broadcast reception. The model 602-A was the first of three Emerson FM sets, followed by 602-B and C. The set was advertised as the "Conqueror" in magazine advertisements during 1949. If you want versatility in your programming, this FM set is the answer. Receives all the FM stations in my area loud and clear. This case has a few scuffs, but no cracks or serious cosmetic issues.. And it has most of its original back and also has its original Lucite knobs. The radio has been completely checked by a professional, and is playing perfectly, with no annoying filter hum. The set has a great maroon color. About 9"W x 6"H x 6"D. |
