Zenith 6-D-410 (1939)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Zenith 6-D-410 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This pre-War Machine Age Zenith is a very hard to find classic radio, in a one-of-a-kind design, probably by Robert Budlong. The chassis has been completely restored, and is working and playing well, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. According to John Bryant's anthology, "ZENITH, The Glory Years," the company's founder, Commander McDonald, became interested in the possibility of using Bakelite in molding radio chassis as well as the cases. Problems soon developed, and the legend started that Zenith tried to recall the models. You are acquiring a part of the history of Zenith Radio when you buy this radio. About 8"W x 6"H x 5"D.
