THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A Zenith "Boomerang" design case that is attributed to Zenith's great industrial designer Robert Davol Budlong, who is credited with many of Zenith's great radios. The model was introduced in early 1942, but the USA had just entered into WWII, and Zenith suspended all domestic radio production. It reappeared on dealer shelves in 1946 right after the end of the war. It's a six-tube superhet chassis covering the AM band. It has been checked by a professional, and plays fine, picking up all my local AM stations, and many distant stations at night. The case is in great cosmetic condition with no cracks, chips or other cosmetic issues. The handle is in perfect shape. It even has its original back on the case. This is a really nice example of this model Zenith. About 12"W x 8"H x 6"D. |
