Zenith 6-D-015-ZW "Consoltone" (1946)
(plastic tube table radio)

Zenith 6-D-015-ZW "Consoltone" (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A classically designed Zenith radio with a crescent dial produced right after the end of WWII, when the company restarted commercial production. The ivory plastic case is in excellent condition with no significant cosmetic issues. There is a faint 1/4" line on the back left edge, hard to see and no distraction at all. The contrasting black handle retracts when not in use. The cases on these models often have damage from carrying the radio by the handle, never a good idea. This model came in brown Bakelite and ivory plastic. The dial light really streams out lighting up the room in the ivory plastic model. The red indicator light is bright when the radio is on. The brass metal front fascia plate is in great shape and shiny, no pitting. This is a six-tube chassis, so it plays nicely, picking up all my local AM stations clearly, and some distant stations at night. The knobs are original, and he case has a nice original back, which are almost always missing. About 12-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D.
