THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a classic black dial pre-War Zenith in a beautiful professionally refinished solid walnut case, one of only a few Zenith cases supposedly made for Zenith by the Ingraham Cabinet Company, Bristol, CT. This was one of the last production runs before Zenith switched over to wartime operations. This case really looks fantastic, just like the day it came off the showroom floor. The radio has a unique design where tube heat is released through slats in the case, hence its nickname "Toaster." The radio is playing clearly, picking up all my local AM stations with no problems. The dial lamp work fine. It has its "Z" knobs, "Z" dial pointer, and a perfect replacement back. This particular model also has its beautiful original tortoise shell handle. I have had several, but this is right at the top of the best ever. About 11-1/2"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D. |
