THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This great vintage radio was one of the last sets manufactured by FADA, a company that traced its history back to the 1920's. It is wonderful to listen to, because you can tune in both AM and FM broadcast programming. The model 790 was the earliest and last FADA entry into both AM and FM reception, when FM broadcasting was quite new. The beautiful brown Bakelite case has no cosmetic issues like chips, cracks or hairline cracks, and still has most of its new showroom shine. The eight-tube chassis is playing excellent on both AM and FM. Great lighted dial. Four front knobs for off/on combined with tone, volume, tuning and band. It has its original back, grille cloth, brassy grille cover and label on the bottom. A great part of FADA history and case design, as well as a great set to listen to a wide variety of programming. About 14"W x 8"H x 7"D. |
