Zenith 6-D-526 "Waterfall" (1941)
(wood tube table radio)

Zenith 6-D-526 "Waterfall" (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a pre-War Zenith reflecting beautiful swirled walnut veneers and a striking waterfall front. There is a lot of discussion among many collectors about whether Ingraham Cabinet Co. made this case for Zenith. The general thinking is that Ingraham manufactured cases for a few other radio companies other than Emerson, even though they did not put tags on them. Whether they made this Zenith case or not, the curved speaker grille, curved wood veneers on the top and front, and the beautiful wood inlays are very reflective of an Ingraham made case. The 6-D-526 is much harder to find than the 6-D-525 "Toaster," even though they share the same chassis. The radio has its original "Z" knobs, and a perfect Retro-Tronics back is on the set. No cosmetic damage of any kind. The radio features a six tube chassis, has been checked completely by a professional, and is playing well, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. This is one very beautiful Zenith. About 12"W x 8"H x 7"D.
