THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This 1942 Zenith is one of the classic pre-War Zenith designs before the company switched over to military production. The case was designed by Robert Davol Budlong, Zenith's most prolific designer. This Budlong design is known as the "Darth Vader radio." A completely restored Bakelite case professionally painted in its original color. No cracks, chips or hairline cracks, just a new paint job due to chips and scratches. Nice original contrasting black knobs give this set instant appeal. This six-tube chassis has been checked, and the set plays very well picking up all my local AM stations during the day, and many distant stations at night with an internal loop antenna and twin dial lamps. The radio has a nice Retro-Tronics replacement back. About 11"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
