Tom Thumb Automatic Camera Radio (1948)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Well, here is a radio that you just don't see very often, and in very near mint condition. I guess Automatic Radio of Boston thought you needed something to listen to when you were taking pictures. The reflex camera requires 127 Kodak film, and I have not tested its ability to take pictures, but everything seems to function property. I would suggest you take pictures with your iPhone. But the radio has been completely restored and plays fine for a four-tube set, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. It has two "D" cell batteries and a brand new 67.5V battery installed. The 67.5V battery cost $50, so I would play the set sparingly. The red crackle finish case is in really nice condition, just a few rubs. And all the original literature is still inside the case. The plastic strap is perfect. This is a highly collectible item among radio and camera collectors. About 11"H x 4-1/2"W x 4-1/2"D.
