THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A beautifully designed Zenith produced right after the end of WWII, when the company began radio manufacturing once more. Zenith had some really great radio designers working for them, and this set is a classic example. The Bakelite case is in excellent condition with no cosmetic issues like cracks, chips, hairlines or repairs. The cases on this model often have damage from carrying the radio by the handle, but none here. The dial light works fine, and the red indicator light is bright when the radio is on. The brass plate is shiny and polished. It is a six-tube chassis, so it plays really nicely, picking up all my local AM stations, and many distant stations at night. The faded brown Bakelite case has been professionally repainted in midnight black, and has a nice Retro-Tronics replacement back on it. About 12-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D. |
