THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
One of the most Art Deco radios Philco ever made, introduced in August 1939. The walnut finish on this cabinet is original, and is in excellent condition. The brown trim is also in perfect condition. It has its original knobs, back, handle and label on the bottom. The radio has two bands, AM and the old SW police band. The chassis has been checked by a pro, and the radio is playing fine, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. A great designed dial. Philco made this model in five trim versions: ivory, red, blue, green and brown. Only 1,300 were made in brown, and all versions were priced at $16.95 in 1939. About 9"W x 6"H x 6"D. |
