THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Pre-War Zenith in beautiful condition. The case has no damage, no chips, cracks, or hairline cracks. This Deco set was created by Robert Budlong, a Zenith designer who was responsible for many of Zenith's classic radio case models. It has been called by collectors the "Beehive" or "Pancake" radio. The chassis is a very strong performer with six tubes, and it has been completely recapped. I was able to listen to all my local stations clearly, and many distant stations at night. It has really clear and strong reception. It receives AM stations, and has a tone adjustment (middle knob). Excellent replacement back on the set from Retro-Tronics. The faded brown Bakelite case was professionally re-painted in midnight black. It looks terrific, and I can assure you that any specks you see in the pics are dust specks only! About 12"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D. |
