This great vintage Zenith radio is wonderful to listen to, because you can tune in both AM and FM broadcasting stations. This model was an early Zenith entry into both AM & FM bandwidths. It utilized the Armstrong Frequency Modulation system. Edwin Armstrong was an American electrical engineer best known for developing FM radio. These early diagonal dial Zenith sets are hard to find with the brass Zenith eagle crest still on the case. This beautiful brown Bakelite case has no chips, cracks or hairline cracks. The set is playing well on both AM and FM. Three front knobs for off/on, band, and tuning. A great part of Zenith history and case design, as well as a great set to hear a wide variety of programming. About 12"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D. |
