THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
GE produced a lot of radio models, but none as distinctive and stylish as the "turbine" lineup from 1939. They were not only a great design, but these late 1930's sets had incredible brown and tan mottling in the cabinets. This one is in wonderful condition. It is playing fine, picking up all my local AM stations with no annoying filter hum. The dial lamp shines thru the white dial wheel when the radio is turned on, creating quite an unusual effect. This model came with a loop antenna and complete Bakelite back. The case is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or hairline cracks. All push buttons and knob are original. It's a small radio at about 9"W x 5-1/2"H x 5"D. |
