THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This 1939 Stewart Warner "Varsity" is a great blend of Deco and Machine Age design. It was marketed toward college students, often painted in school colors, as well as brown Bakelite, ivory Plaskon, and ivory painted Bakelite. This radio has been completely restored inside and out to its original showroom condition. This radio utilizes the same chassis as the 1939 Firestone Worlds Fair radio. The case had no cracks or cosmetic damage, other than paint chips. It has been professionally repainted in its original color, and has a baked on finish. No sloppy spray cans! The chassis has been completely restored, everything needing replacing was done, and the radio plays fine, picking up all my local AM stations, just utilizing its antenna wire. A perfect Retro-Tronics back on the case. The knobs and pushbuttons are original. About 12"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D.
