THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Colorful Motorola sub-miniature tube portable from 1953 with a hand wound clock. These four-tube sets originally sold for $45 in 1953, quite a bit of money for a beach radio. They came in three colors: dark green, gray and maroon. They have three sub-miniature tubes, and one standard tube. This radio plays fine, picking up all my local AM stations. It has been recapped and checked completely by a professional. The clock, which is hand wound, is also working fine keeping pretty good time. The case is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or hairline cracks. The handle and line cord are in perfect condition, and the two original knobs still have their brass brights. I will include a color copy of the neat 1953 advertisement for the radio. About 9"W x 8"H x 2-3/4"D. |
