DeWald A-501 "Lyre" Catalin (1938)

DeWald A-501 "Lyre" Catalin (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This Catalin "Lyre" DeWald is just about as close to mint perfect as you can get. It has incredible marbling in the case, just a beautiful Art Deco radio. Made in 1938 by DeWald Manufacturing Corp. of New York. The set is nicknamed the "Lyre" for its musically inspired design. The colors are really striking and incredible. The butterscotch knobs are original to the radio, as well as the original back. There is a very tiny, very tight hairline on the bottom from the back screw to the back of the case, maybe 1/4 inch, hardly noticeable. The chassis has been checked, and the radio is playing great, picking up all my AM stations with no annoying filter hum. This is one beautiful Catalin radio. About 10"W x 6"H x 6"D.
