THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The year 1939 produced many beautiful radios, but one of the best was this classic Zenith tabletop set, which is an icon of the Art Deco period. Designed by Robert Budlong, one of Zenith's most prolific design engineers, it is a must have in any radio collection. This beautiful Franciscan brown set originally sold for $14.95. It has a beautiful goal dial and pointer. The case is in wonderful condition, without any significant cosmetic issues. It plays fine with just an external antenna wire, as this model did not have a loop antenna. The speaker is in excellent condition, and the sound is very clear & strong. It has a nice Retro-Tronics replacement back on the set. About 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 7"D. |
