THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The year 1939 produced many beautiful radios, but none better than this classic Zenith tabletop set, which is an icon of the Art Deco period. Designed by Robert Budlong, one of Zenith's most prolific design engineers, it is a must have in any radio collection. This beautiful set originally sold for $14.95. It has the hard to find dark dial, as most 6-D-311 models had a gold dial. The case is in wonderful condition, without any major cosmetic issues. It plays fine with just an external antenna wire, as this model did not have a loop antenna. The speaker has had a professional repair, but the sound is very clear & strong. It has a nice Retro-Tronics replacement back on the set. About 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 7"D. |
