THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This 1939 Zenith tabletop set is an icon of the Art Deco period. Designed by Robert Budlong, one of Zenith's most prolific design engineers, it is a classic in any radio collection. The radio has to its credit an appearance in one of MGM's Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland movies, "Strike Up the Band." This Franciscan brown set originally sold for $14.95. The case is in very nice condition, with no cracks, chips or hairline cracks. It has been checked by a pro, and plays fine with no annoying filter hum. It also has a nice Retro-Tronics replacement back on the set. About 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 7"D.
