THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Zenith tabletop set is an icon of the Art Deco period. Designed by Robert Budlong, one of Zenith's most prolific design engineers, it is a classic must-have in any radio collection. The radio has to its credit an appearance in one of MGM's "Babes in Arms" movies, featuring Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland. This Franciscan brown set originally sold for $14.95. The case is in wonderful condition, with no cracks, chips or hairline cracks, or other cosmetic issues, almost reflecting a showroom shine. It has been checked by a pro, and plays fine with just a short antenna wire, but even better with a link to an external antenna, as this model did not have a loop antenna. It has a nice Retro-Tronics replacement back on the set. About 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 7"D. |
