THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
GE produced a lot of radio models, but none as distinctive and stylish as the "Turbine" lineup for 1939. They were not only a one-of-a-kind design, but these late 1930's sets had incredible brown and tan mottling in the cabinets. This model is in excellent condition. The dial light shines thru the thumbwheel dial creating a stunning look. It's been recapped and is playing fine, picking up all my local AM stations. This model came without a built-in loop antenna, so it uses an antenna wire, but reception is not a problem at all. The case is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairline cracks. All knobs are original. The back has been replaced with a perfect Retro-Tronics replacement. It's a small radio at about 9"W x 5-1/2"H x 5"D. |
