THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This must be one of the most beautiful and commanding Silvertone radios ever produced for Sears. It's a six tube chassis with three bands, AM/SW and the now defunct Police band. It's almost impossible to find this particular set without its having been refinished, but the finish on this case is original & untouched, and it's in wonderful condition. A scratch here & there, but no major cosmetic problems. The grille cloth is also original, and in excellent condition. The radio is playing well on AM, and some reception on SW, but an extended antenna wire is needed for better reception. The green tuning eye is very bright and working. All knobs are original. The gold dial is in excellent condition, with foreign cities and countries all printed on it. The radio weighs about 20 pounds, unpacked. A beautiful centerpiece for any collection. About 15"W x 12"H x 10"D. |
