THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Emerson's design has been attributed to industrial designer Raymond Loewy, who also designed the Emerson "Moderne" models 511 and 517. The brown Bakelite case has no chips, cracks or hairline cracks. A very small rub on the case up top, but that's all. Beautiful gold dial and grille bars, with rounded features. The chassis has been gone over by my technician, and the set plays well on AM, picking up all my local AM stations. The chassis loads into the case from the bottom, so there is a full Bakelite back, and intact handle. The knobs are original. The dial lamp works fine. About 11"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D. |
