THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Pre-War Zenith in beautiful condition. The case has no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs of any kind. This Deco set was designed by Robert Budlong, a Zenith designer who was responsible for many of Zenith's classic radio case designs. Known by collectors as the "Beehive" or "Pancake" radio. The chassis is a very strong performer with six tubes, and it has been recapped. I was able to listen to all my local stations clearly, and many distant stations at night. It has just about the best distant reception of any set I have owned. AM with a tone adjustment (middle knob). Excellent replacement back from Retro-Tronics. The faded brown Bakelite case has been professionally re-painted in midnight black. It looks terrific. I can assure you that any specks you see in the pics are dust specks only! About 12"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D. |
