Silvertone 4763 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Silvertone 4763 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This must be one of the most beautiful and commanding Silvertone radios ever produced. It's a six tube chassis with three bands, AM/SW and the defunct Police band. The chassis has been gone over and recapped, and I have been able to tune in several of my stronger AM stations, but this radio really needs a very long extended antenna wire for the best reception. The green tuning eye is very bright. The plastic bezel is in perfect shape with no cracks. All knobs are original. The gold dial is in excellent condition, with foreign cities and countries all printed out. The cabinet has been completely stripped and refinished by a professional craftsman using Mohawk toning lacquers and Mohawk clear semi-glass lacquer top coats. New grille cloth has been installed. More pictures available on request. A beautiful centerpiece for any collection. The radio weighs about 20 pounds, unpacked. About 15"W x 12"H x 10"D.
