Majestic 5AK711 (1947)

Majestic 5AK711 (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
If anyone has seen or, better yet, remembers a late forties lowered, chopped and channeled Mercury you'll know what I'm talking about! Doesn't this two-tone black and white Bakelite Majestic kind of look like that old Merc? This '47 beauty is the first "low-rider" radio! In all my years this is the only model I've ever seen! It's even hard to find in reference books. The white on top is original factory paint with some touch ups applied over the years and a few by me, too! The black on the bottom is black Bakelite, not painted. Electronically reconditioned and aligned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and out of tolerance resistors were replaced. The five tubes are strong! A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty "Led-Sled Special!" If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 12-1/2"W x 4-1/2"H x 6"D.
