Philco 52-940 (1952)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Philco 52-940 (1952)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

What can I say? These pictures are worth a thousand words! They're my best sales person! A brown, bold and beautiful swirled Philco Bakelite sunburst! Stunning! I do have a question, however: why is it that almost every antique radio whether it's a table model, portable or console at some point in the past was close to where folks were painting? Drop cloths must not have been invented until the sixties! Anyway, this beauty has been electronically reconditioned and aligned. It's a player, alright! The six tubes are strong. There is an external antenna for greater sensitivity and, the tube layout is on the bottom. A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty "Sunshine Special!" If you'd like additional pictures please let me know.
