Philco 53-561 (1953)
(plastic tube table radio)

Philco 53-561 (1953)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I have had quite a few of this particular model Philco on my Radio Attic page over the years. Like Dennis Hooper's character "Shooter" in the movie Hoosiers said, "I listened to the ball game on that lil Philco over there (pointing to a green Philco 53-561)." Well, so did I! What can I say? I love this particular Philco model! It's a real cherry - actually, maroon. Cherry does apply, however, to the physical condition and how it plays! Electronically reconditioned and the fives tubes are strong. The tube layout is on the bottom in great shape, too! Yep, it's another Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty "State Championship Special" Go Milan! If you'd like additional pictures please let me know.
