No Martha, it ain't a washing machine. And Ken, if guessed an hydraulic brake you're wrong, too! It's a beautiful brown Bakelite heavily swirled...toaster. No, just kidding. It's a Bendix radio from the small appliance division, of Bendix, of course. It has been electronically reconditioned and playing well! You can see the tube layout is on the bottom and all five tubes are good! For extra sensitive reception you have an external antenna connection that I recommend.
