| Depending on your point of view, "The glass could be half full" or, this magnificent ebony Bakelite Philco could be a "Step-up" or "Step-down." I choose "Step-up!" This black-as-night Philco has been electronically reconditioned and aligned. Plays great! It even has the original price tag on the back which I won't say what it was - new. It had its original five tubes, but alas, one had to be replaced. Tube layout is on the bottom. A Jim Dennis "Scale of Beauty" incredible specimen of a radio!
